What is iCall?
iCall lets you make and receive free phone calls through your mobile device or computer. Not only that, but with iCall, you can make high-definition video calls, instant message friends, conduct conference calls, share files and screens, and a whole lot more.
Is iCall free?
Yes. iCall 7 for the Desktop, iCall Mobile for the iPhone, iPod, iPad and iCall for the Web are all free to use to call the US and Canada but are limited to a 5 minute call length. We do offer benefits should you elect to upgrade to a paid account such as removing this limitation.
Can I call back after my free call ends?
Of course! You can call back an unlimited number of times.
How can I remove the ads?
To remove the advertisements, you can upgrade an existing free account to our Total Access account type which will provide unlimited calling to the US and Canada without any advertisements. Total Access also includes 1 personal callback number without the need to use our Access Numbers and extensions.
Will iCall on my iPhone show up on my phone bill?
iCall mobile uses either your device's data plan or wifi and will show as data usage, just like as if you were browsing the internet or streaming video. Typical data rates will apply if you use your cellular data plan but wifi will not use your cellular provider at all.
Which platforms and devices are supported with iCall?
Currently, iCall supports Windows, OSX, Ubuntu, Android, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Does iCall Mobile work over 4G?
Yes! It works over 3G and 4G connections. Please know that the connection quality and speed may vary depending on your signal strength and location.
Can I call regular phone lines or any other number using iCall Mobile?
Absolutely. You can call any phone line or phone number using iCall Mobile.
Can I make international phone calls?
Yes! Please see under the Price menu for our aggressive international calling rates. You will need to add funds to your account first, and ensure you dial with the format of 011+the country code+ the number you would like to dial. For example, 011445555555
Can I receive phone calls?
With iCall, you can receive phone calls for free with our available Access Numbers coupled with your extension or with a paid account using a personal number you can be reached by your own 10 digit US personal number.
What is an Access Number?
An Access Number is the number you give out to people so they can call you. These numbers are shared among our free users and require you to provide the extension of the person you would like to reach.
What's the difference between an Access Number and a Personal Number?
An Access Number is free, and people can call you by dialing any iCall Access Number, followed by your extension. A Personal Number is received when you sign up for our Total Access plan for $9.95 a month. It's your very own number and you receive it for only two bucks. Please note that at this time we only provide US area code personal numbers.
Can I dial 911 using iCall?
No. The iCall software does not support calls to any emergency number or emergency service, like 911. To dial 911, please make sure to use a regular phone line or mobile-carrier phone line.
